What Communities Are in Sherman Township?
Sherman Township is home to a few smaller communities. The village of Lake Isabella is partly within the township. The city of Mt. Pleasant is a few miles away.
Exploring the Communities
- Drew was once a train station on the Pere Marquette Railroad. It had a post office from 1899 to 1904.
- Sherman City is a small community that is not officially organized as a city or village. It sits on the Chippewa River. Part of it is also in Coldwater Township. Its elevation is 963 feet above sea level.
- Weidman is another unincorporated community. It is also a census-designated place, meaning it's a special area for collecting census data. Weidman is on the eastern edge of Sherman Township. Part of it is also in Nottawa Township.
- The village of Lake Isabella is on the southern border of the township. It is partly in Sherman Township and partly in Broomfield Township.
