Simrishamn Municipality (which in Swedish is called Simrishamns kommun) is a local government area, or municipality, in southern Sweden. It is located in Skåne County. The main town and administrative center of the municipality is Simrishamn.
This municipality was created in the second half of the 1900s. In 1969, several smaller rural areas joined with the City of Simrishamn. In 1971, this larger city became a single municipality. Even more land was added in 1974. Originally, there were twenty separate areas before 1952 that now make up Simrishamn Municipality.
