Sipey Peak is a tall mountain in Antarctica. It stands at 2,200 meters (about 7,218 feet) high! This peak is part of the Veregava Ridge, which is in the central Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains. Imagine a huge, icy mountain surrounded by glaciers. Sipey Peak is surrounded by three of them: Orizari Glacier to its south-southwest, Dater Glacier to its west and north, and Berisad Glacier to its east.

This mountain gets its name from a small town called Sipey in Southern Bulgaria. It's a way to connect this distant Antarctic peak to a place far away!

Sipey Peak is found in a very cold and icy part of Antarctica. Its exact location is at 78°24′46″S 84°56′37″W / 78.41278°S 84.94361°W / -78.41278; -84.94361.

How Far is Sipey Peak From Other Mountains?

This peak is about 5.26 kilometers (3.27 miles) north of Mount Waldron. It's also about 9.46 kilometers (5.88 miles) east of Mount Segers. You can find Mount Farrell 5.71 kilometers (3.55 miles) to its south-southeast. And Kushla Peak is 4.15 kilometers (2.58 miles) to its northwest. Maps of this area were first made by the United States in 1961 and updated in 1988.
