Sonaro's Journey in Music
Starting Out in Music Production
Sonaro was born in Far Rockaway and grew up in Brooklyn. From a young age, he was very interested in making music. He became an in-house producer for Needlz, a well-known producer. This is where Sonaro learned and improved his unique sound.
During this time, Sonaro got his first big chance. He produced the song "Rockin' it" for Stack Bundles' mixtape Biddin' War Vol 2.. This song featured Jim Jones and Max B. Soon after, he produced "Thang On Me" for Lil' Kim's project Ms. G.O.A.T.. This song included artists like Maino and Mister Cee.
Becoming a Well-Known Producer
Sonaro's career really took off on March 5, 2010. Rapper Fabolous and DJ Drama released a mixtape called There Is No Competition 2: The Funeral Service. This mixtape featured a song called "Body Ya," which Sonaro produced. The song quickly became popular on radio stations like Hot 97.
Because of its success, Def Jam officially released "Body Ya" on an EP (Extended Play) called There Is No Competition 2: The Grieving Music EP. Sonaro also helped produce other songs on this EP.
Sonaro continued to work with Fabolous on many other projects. He produced songs like "Leaving You" and "Swag Champ." He also produced "B.E.T." which featured Jadakiss and Styles P. Later, he worked on "Want You Back" with Joe Budden and Teyana Taylor.
Besides Fabolous, Sonaro also produced music for Lloyd Banks, Jim Jones, Meek Mill, and French Montana. His music was even used in the TV show Love & Hip Hop.
