Tristan Paul Mack Wilds (born July 15, 1989) is an American actor, singer, and music producer. He is famous for playing Michael Lee in the TV show The Wire. He also played Dixon Wilson in the teen drama 90210. You might have seen him in Adele's music video for "Hello".
As a singer, he released his first album, New York: A Love Story, in 2013. This album was even nominated for a Grammy Award. His second album, AfterHours, came out in 2017.

Growing Up in New York
Wilds was born and raised in Staten Island, a part of New York City. His mother, Monique Moncion, has roots from the Dominican Republic and Ireland. His father, Paul Wilds, is African-American. Wilds went to the Michael J. Petrides School in Staten Island and finished his studies there.
Acting on Screen
Wilds started his acting journey in 2005 with a mini-series called Miracle's Boys. It was produced by the famous director Spike Lee. He also appeared in popular TV shows like Cold Case and Law & Order.
In 2006, Wilds was in his first movie, Half Nelson, with actor Ryan Gosling. That same year, he joined the cast of the HBO show The Wire. He played Michael Lee, a smart but troubled middle school student. This role was very important for his career.

In 2007, Wilds appeared in several music videos. These included "Roc Boys" by Jay-Z and "Teenage Love Affair" by Alicia Keys.

In 2009, he got a role in the war movie Red Tails. This film was about the Tuskegee Airmen, a group of African American pilots during World War II. Wilds played Ray "Ray Gun" Knight. The movie also starred Cuba Gooding, Jr. and Terrence Howard.

In 2015, Wilds was the love interest in Adele's music video for her hit song "Hello". The video was directed by Xavier Dolan.
In 2016, he starred in the VH1 TV movie The Breaks. It was about the hip-hop music world in the 1990s. The movie was so popular that it became a full TV series in 2017. That same year, Wilds also played Officer Beck in the TV show Shots Fired. This show explored a difficult story about a police shooting in a town with racial tensions.
Music Journey
Mack Wilds became interested in music after meeting producer Salaam Remi in 2008. In 2010, he signed a music deal. He released songs like "2 Girlz," which was even featured on his TV show 90210. His first collection of songs, called an EP, was Remember Remember, released in late 2011.
Wilds started working with Salaam Remi on his first album in 2012. He signed with Remi's record label, Louder than Life. His first single, "Own It," came out in June 2013. The album, New York: A Love Story, was released in September 2013. Critics liked it, and it was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2014. However, it lost to Rihanna's album Unapologetic.
In November 2015, Wilds released "Love in the 90z," the first song from his second album, AfterHours. In 2016, he also signed a management deal with Roc Nation.
