Sophie Grégoire Trudeau (born April 24, 1975), also known as Sophie Grégoire, is a Canadian media personality. She was married to Justin Trudeau, who is the prime minister of Canada. They separated in 2023. Sophie Grégoire Trudeau is very active in charity work. She also does social work and public speaking. Her main focus areas are the environment, women's issues, and children's issues. She was an ambassador for the WE Charity, which faced some issues in 2020.

Early Life and School
Sophie Grégoire was born on April 24, 1975, in Montreal, Quebec. She was the only child of Jean Grégoire, who worked with stocks, and Estelle Blais, a nurse. Her family first lived north of Montreal in Sainte-Adèle. When she was four, they moved to Montreal. She grew up in the Mount Royal area of Montreal. There, she was a friend and classmate of Michel Trudeau. Michel was the youngest son of Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. He was also the brother of Sophie's future husband, Justin Trudeau.
Sophie has said her childhood was happy. She was a good student and made friends easily. She loved sports and being outdoors. Around age 17, she started struggling with an eating disorder. Sophie Grégoire first met Justin Trudeau when they were children in Montreal. Justin is the oldest son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Sophie was a classmate and friend of Justin's younger brother, Michel. Sophie and Justin met again as adults in June 2003. They were asked to co-host a charity event. They started dating a few months later. They got engaged in October 2004. They married on May 28, 2005, in Montreal. They have three children: Xavier James, Ella-Grace Margaret, and Hadrien Gregoire.
