South Corning is a small village located in Steuben County, New York. In 2020, about 1,108 people lived there. This village is part of the larger town of Corning.
Where is South Corning?
South Corning is located at 42.124442 degrees north latitude and -77.035463 degrees west longitude. The United States Census Bureau says the village covers about 0.6 square miles (1.6 square kilometers) of land. There is no water area within the village limits.
The village is found near the western side of the Chemung River. It is also just south of the City of Corning. A small stream called Bailey Creek flows through the village and empties into the Chemung River. New York State Route 225 is a main road that goes through South Corning.
