Srbuhi Sargsyan (born on April 3, 1994), known as Srbuk, is a talented singer from Armenia. She became famous after appearing on the first season of The X Factor in Armenia, where she finished in second place. Later, in 2018, she competed on The Voice of Ukraine and came in fourth. Srbuk also had the honor of representing Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel. Her song for the contest was called "Walking Out".

Early Life and Music Beginnings
Srbuk was born in Yerevan, Armenia, on April 3, 1994. She loved music from a young age. She studied at the Komitas State Conservatory of Yerevan. There, she learned to play the qanun, which is a traditional string instrument.
Srbuk's Journey to Stardom
Starting with X Factor
In 2010, Srbuk took a big step in her music career. She tried out for the first season of the Armenian version of The X Factor. She sang "Soon We'll Be Found" by Sia for her audition. She joined the team of musician Garik Papoyan. Srbuk did very well in the competition, finishing as the runner-up.
Forming a Band and Releasing Music
After X Factor, Srbuk decided to create her own band in 2012. The band was called Allusion. They performed together at local shows and events. In 2014, she worked with Garik Papoyan again. She was featured on his song "Boat." This song was part of the soundtrack for a Russian movie.
In 2016, Srbuk released her very first song as a solo artist. It was called "Yete Karogh Es."
Competing on The Voice of Ukraine
Srbuk continued to grow as a singer. In 2018, she joined the eighth season of The Voice of Ukraine. She was coached by the Ukrainian singer Potap. Srbuk showed her amazing vocal skills and finished fourth in the competition.
Representing Armenia at Eurovision
Becoming Armenia's Choice
In November 2018, it was announced that Srbuk would represent Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. This big event took place in Tel Aviv, Israel. After the announcement, the Armenian TV company asked composers to send in their songs for Srbuk.
Performing "Walking Out"
In March 2019, Srbuk's song for Eurovision was revealed. It was titled "Walking Out." The music for the song was created by Lost Capital and tokionine. The lyrics were written by Garik Papoyan. He had also helped write Armenia's song for Eurovision in 2014. Srbuk performed "Walking Out" on May 16, 2019. This was during the second semi-final of the contest. Unfortunately, she did not make it to the final round. She finished 16th in her semi-final.
New Music and Charity Work
After Eurovision, Srbuk kept making music. In October 2019, she released an album of cover songs. It was called Armenian Folk. In November 2020, during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war, Srbuk joined other Armenian singers for a special project. They recorded a charity song called "Mez vochinch chi haghti." This means "Nothing Will Win Us." The song was produced by DerHova.

Srbuk gets inspiration from many famous artists. Some of her favorite singers include Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, and Stevie Wonder. She also admires Ray Charles and Michael Jackson. These artists have helped shape her own unique singing style.
