St. Michael is a city located in eastern Wright County, in the United States. It's found northwest of the Twin Cities area. In 2020, about 18,235 people lived there. By 2023, the population grew to over 21,000!

Geography of St. Michael
St. Michael covers an area of about 36.42 square miles (94.33 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a smaller part made up of water.
The Crow River flows along the eastern edge of the city. This river helps separate St. Michael from the city of Rogers. St. Michael also shares borders with several other towns and cities in Wright and Hennepin Counties.
Getting Around St. Michael
You can travel through St. Michael using a few main roads. These include I-94, US 52, and MN 241. These routes help connect the city to other places.
History of St. Michael
The city of St. Michael got its name from the St. Michael Roman Catholic Church. A post office opened in the area way back in 1858. The city officially became a city in 1890.

Schools in St. Michael
St. Michael is part of the St. Michael–Albertville Independent School District#885. This school district is known for its royal blue and gold colors, and its mascot is the Knight!
The district has seven schools and two special academies. The schools include:
- St. Michael-Albertville High School (for grades 9–12)
- St. Michael–Albertville Middle School East (for grades 5–8)
- St. Michael–Albertville Middle School West (for grades 5–8)
- St. Michael Elementary School (for grades 1–4)
- Fieldstone Elementary School (for grades 1–4)
- Big Woods Elementary School (for grades 1–4)
- Albertville Primary School (for Kindergarten)
The two academies are Page Academy and Knights' Academy, which offer different learning options. There is also a private Catholic school in St. Michael for students from kindergarten through 8th grade.
A new high school opened in 2009. The building that used to be the high school became the new Middle School West. The other middle school was then renamed Middle School East.
