Stalden (German pronunciation: [ˈʃtaldn̩]) is a small town in Switzerland. It is located in the Valais canton, which is like a state or region. Stalden is found in the Visp district. It sits at the base of the huge Mischabelhörner mountains, including the Dom mountain, which is 4,545 meters (about 14,911 feet) tall.

Stalden was first written about in the year 1213. Back then, it was called Morgi. A little later, in 1224, it was known as Staldun.

Stalden is in the Visp district. It is a special place where two valleys meet: the Matter Valley and the Saas Valley. This makes it an important crossroads in the Alps.
