Visperterminen (also known as Tärbinu in Walser German) is a small town, called a municipality, in Switzerland. It is located in the Valais region, specifically in the Visp district. This charming place is known for its beautiful mountain views and unique traditions.

History of Visperterminen
Visperterminen has a long history. It was first written about in the 11th century. Back then, it was called Termenum. Later, in 1221, it was mentioned again as Terminum. These old names show that the area has been settled for a very long time.
Geography and Nature
Visperterminen is nestled in the Visp district. The municipality stretches from the valley up into the hills. It includes the main village of Visperterminen. There are also several smaller villages, called hamlets. These include Ober- and Unterstalden, Bitzinen, Niederhäusern, Parmili, and Sattolti.
About 27% of the land is used for farming. Forests cover almost 35% of the area. A small part, about 2%, has buildings and roads. The rest, about 36%, is unproductive land, like rocky areas or high mountains.
The Gebidumsee Lake
A special natural spot is the Gebidumsee lake. It sits high up in the mountains at about 2,200 meters (7,200 feet) above sea level. It's a beautiful place to visit.
Coat of Arms
