Stun’Sail Boom is a small area, or "locality," located on the south coast of Kangaroo Island in South Australia. It looks out over the big ocean. In Australia, this part of the ocean is known as the Southern Ocean. International maps sometimes call it the Great Australian Bight.
This locality is about 186 kilometers (115 miles) southwest of Adelaide, which is the capital city of South Australia. It's also about 68 kilometers (42 miles) southwest of Kingscote, the main town on Kangaroo Island. The official boundaries for Stun'Sail Boom were set in May 2002. Its name comes from a river that runs through the area.
