Success is a suburb located south of Perth, which is the capital city of Western Australia. It is part of the City of Cockburn area.

What's in a Name?
The name Success comes from a ship! It was named after HMS Success, a ship belonging to Captain James Stirling. He was an important Royal Navy officer who helped set up the Swan River Colony, which later became Perth.
Growing Up: Success's Story
Success started to develop and grow into a populated area in the early 1990s. This happened when the Kwinana Freeway, a major road, was extended. The number of people living in Success grew quite a lot. In 2006, about 4,854 people lived there. By 2016, this number had more than doubled to 10,148 people!
