Sunnyslope was a community in Riverside County, California. It was once called a "census-designated place" (CDP), which means it was a special area used for counting people by the government.
In 2010, about 5,153 people lived in Sunnyslope. This was more than the 4,437 people counted in 2000. On July 1, 2011, Sunnyslope became part of a new city called Jurupa Valley.

Where is Sunnyslope Located?
Sunnyslope is in California, at these coordinates: 34°1′14″N 117°25′24″W / 34.02056°N 117.42333°W.
The area of Sunnyslope is about 1.5 square miles (3.8 square kilometers). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water.
Becoming Part of Jurupa Valley
On March 8, 2011, people in the area voted on a plan to create a new city. This plan was called Measure A. Most people, about 54%, voted "YES" for the new city.
Because of this vote, several communities joined together. These included Mira Loma, Pedley, Rubidoux, Glen Avon, and Sunnyslope. They all became part of the new city of Jurupa Valley. The change officially happened on July 1, 2011.

In 2010, the community of Sunnyslope had 5,153 residents. Most people, about 97.4%, lived in homes with their families.
The population included people of many different backgrounds. About 70% of the people identified as Hispanic or Latino.
Many families in Sunnyslope had children. About 30.5% of the people living there were under 18 years old. The average household had about 4 people living in it.
