Albert Simonyan, known as Tata, is a famous singer and songwriter from Armenia. He was born on December 5, 1962. Many people, especially Armenians living outside Armenia, know his music.
Tata has received important awards. In 2006, he was named an Honored Artist of Armenia. He was also nominated for "King of Pop" in Moscow in 2008. Tata has performed for fans all over the world. He has sung in countries like the U.S., Canada, Australia, and many parts of Europe and the Middle East. He has also acted in several movies.

About Tata Simonyan
Tata was born in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia. At that time, Armenia was part of the Soviet Union. He was born on December 5, 1962. In 1977, he finished V. Terian Secondary School No. 60. During his school years, he also studied music. He learned to play the accordion at a music school.
Tata's Music Career
Tata started his music career in 1980. He joined a group called "Cilicia." In 1991, he recorded his very first album. It was called Yerekon Idjav. He also took part in a special music project. It was called "Yerevan-Moscow Transit." In this project, he performed with popular Russian bands. These bands included "Otpetie Moshenniki" and "Reflex."
In 2006, Tata received a big honor. He was given the title of Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia. This award recognizes his great work in music. In 2008, Tata's own production company, "Tata" production center, worked with Armenia TV. They created a project called "National Star." Tata was the artistic director for this show.
Tata has released eight music albums. He wrote the music and lyrics for all of them. He has also sung duets with other famous singers. These include Lyubov Uspenskaya, Anatoly Dneprov, Kristina Orbakaite, and Eva Rivas.
From November 2012 to April 2013, Tata was a coach. He coached on "the Voice of Armenia" TV show.
