Taylour Paige-Angulo (born October 5, 1990) is an American actress. She became well-known for her roles in the TV show Hit the Floor (2013–2016) and the movie Jean of the Joneses (2016). She gained even more fame as the main character in the movie Zola (2020), for which she won an Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. She also starred in Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (2020) and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F (2024).
Even though she is not a musician, Taylour Paige was featured on Kendrick Lamar's song "We Cry Together" in 2022. This song became very popular, reaching number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Because of this, Paige was nominated for a Grammy Award.

Taylour Paige was born on October 5, 1990, in Santa Monica, California. Her parents are Reginald Paige and Cheryl Williams. She grew up in Inglewood, California, which is a suburb near Los Angeles. She has an older brother named Travis.
How Taylour Paige Started Dancing
Taylour started dancing when she was just 2 years old. She trained at several dance schools, including Katnap in Venice and Westside Ballet Academy. She also spent two summers training at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC. In 2001, she became a student of the famous choreographer Debbie Allen. She even auditioned for Debbie Allen's musical called Pearl.

Paige went to St. Bernard Catholic High School in Playa del Rey. She graduated from high school in 2008. In 2010, she became a Los Angeles Laker Girl, which is a professional cheerleading team for the basketball team. She was a Laker Girl for three months. She left the team to finish college and focus on her acting career. While she was a Laker Girl, she was even featured in a TV special about the Laker Girls calendar. Taylour Paige is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University.
Taylour Paige's Acting Career
After her time as a Laker Girl, Taylour Paige appeared in many commercials. She worked for companies like Transamerica, Best Buy, McDonald's, and Adidas. She also appeared in a commercial for the video game Just Dance 3. Her very first movie role was as a dancer in High School Musical 3: Senior Year in 2008.
Taylour Paige's First Big TV and Movie Roles
After some small roles, Paige became a main character in the TV show Hit the Floor. She played Ahsha Hayes from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, she also starred in the movie Jean of the Joneses, which was directed by Stella Meghie. Critics really liked her performance in this movie. In 2018, she had a supporting role in the movie White Boy Rick. During this time, she also appeared in TV shows like Grey's Anatomy and Ballers.
Taylour Paige's Breakthrough Roles
Taylour Paige got a lot of attention for her role as the main character in the movie Zola (2020). Both the movie and her acting received excellent reviews.
