Later in 2008, Teddy won the gold medal at the 2008 World Junior Championships. He jumped 17.33 metres, which was a great achievement. He was the only athlete to jump over 17 metres in that final.
In 2009, Teddy improved his indoor personal best to 17.37 metres. He then jumped 17.58 metres, which was a new world record for athletes under 23. This jump was also very close to the French national indoor record. He won his second national indoor triple jump title.
At the 2009 World Championships in August, Teddy made it to the final. He qualified with a jump of 17.11 metres. In the final, he finished eleventh.
Winning Gold and Setting Records (2010–2013)

Teddy's good form continued into the outdoor season. He set a new French national record of 17.63 metres in May. In June 2010, he competed in his first IAAF Diamond League event. He jumped 17.98 metres, making him the third-best triple jumper outdoors of all time. This was the longest triple jump outdoors in over a decade.
