The Kwicky Koala Show was a fun, 30-minute Saturday-morning cartoon. It was made by Hanna-Barbera Productions and Hanna Barbera Pty, Ltd. The show aired on CBS from September 12, 1981, to September 11, 1982.
This cartoon is special because it was one of the last projects by famous cartoon director Tex Avery. He sadly passed away in 1980 while the show was still being made. Since the show was produced in Australia, its broadcasts on channels like Cartoon Network and Boomerang used a different video format called PAL. Other Hanna-Barbera shows usually used the NTSC format. Sometimes, parts of The Kwicky Koala Show were even shown by themselves as short fillers between other cartoons on Boomerang.
The Kwicky Koala Show had four short cartoon stories in each episode: Kwicky Koala, The Bungle Brothers, Crazy Claws, and Dirty Dawg.

Cartoon Segments
Kwicky Koala's Adventures
Kwicky Koala (voiced by writer Bob Ogle) is a super-fast koala. He is a bit like another famous cartoon character, Droopy, who was also created by Tex Avery. Kwicky's main goal is to escape from Wilford Wolf (voiced by John Stephenson).
Kwicky is incredibly fast! He moves so quickly that it looks like he just vanishes into thin air with a "beep" sound. Then, he instantly reappears somewhere else. This is similar to how Speedy Gonzales moves. Even though koalas are from Australia, Kwicky speaks with an American accent.
The Bungle Brothers' Big Dreams
This part of the show follows two beagle brothers named George (voiced by Michael Bell) and Joey (voiced by Allan Melvin). They are always trying to become famous vaudeville stars. Vaudeville was a type of entertainment with many different acts, like singing, dancing, and comedy. These segments were usually very short and acted as quick breaks in the show.
Crazy Claws' Escapes
Crazy Claws (voiced by Jim MacGeorge) is a clever wildcat. He uses his sharp mind and even sharper claws to get away from a fur trapper named Rawhide Clyde (voiced by Don Messick). Clyde has a dog named Bristletooth (voiced by Peter Cullen) who helps him.
Their adventures happen in a U.S. National Park. The park is looked after by Ranger Rangerfield (voiced by Michael Bell). Crazy Claws always finds a way to outsmart Clyde and Bristletooth!
Dirty Dawg's Daily Life
Dirty Dawg (voiced by Frank Welker) is a friendly Labrador Retriever who doesn't have a home. He tries to make life better for himself and his best friend, a Rat named Ratso (voiced by Marshall Efron).
They always have to stay one step ahead of a police officer named Officer Bullhorn (voiced by Matthew Faison). Dirty Dawg and Ratso often find themselves in funny situations as they try to get food or find a safe place to stay.
