Marshall Efron (born February 3, 1938 – died September 30, 2019) was an American actor and humorist. He was known for his funny work on radio shows. He also appeared on the TV show The Great American Dream Machine on PBS. This show was where Chevy Chase first became famous!

Marshall Efron's Career Highlights
Marshall Efron was a regular guest on radio shows at WBAI in New York. He often appeared with hosts Steve Post and Bob Fass. He also worked with other creative people like Paul Krassner.
One time, Marshall Efron and Paul Krassner were filling in for Steve Post. They pretended to be students who had taken over the radio station! Many listeners believed them. The NYPD even responded three times to calls from worried listeners. It was all a big, funny prank! Efron also created his own radio segments, like A Satirical View.
Marshall Efron also wrote books for kids. One of his well-known books is Bible Stories You Can't Forget: No Matter How Hard You Try.
He also had his own TV show on CBS. It was called Marshall Efron's Illustrated, Simplified, and Painless Sunday School. This show aired on Sunday mornings from 1973 to 1977. On the show, Efron played all the characters himself. He acted as Adam, Eve, God, and even the Snake in the Garden of Eden. He also played the Three Wise Men in the story of Christmas.
Later Years and Passing
Marshall Efron passed away on September 30, 2019. He was 81 years old. He died at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey.
