The Rooster Comb is a tall mountain located in the Alaska Range in the United States. It stands about 10,180 feet (3,103 meters) high. You can find it within Denali National Park and Preserve in Alaska.
This mountain got its unique name because its top looks like a rooster's comb. The name was suggested by Bradford Washburn in 1957. He based it on a description from 1910 by Claude Ewing Rusk. Rusk said the mountain had "corniced spires, like a great rooster comb."

The Rooster Comb is also close to other big mountains. It is about 2 miles (3.2 kilometers) east of Mount Huntington. It is also 2.4 miles (3.9 kilometers) southeast of Mount Kudlich.

Temperatures can drop really low, sometimes below -20 °C (-4 °F). With the wind chill, it can feel even colder, below -30 °C (-22 °F). If you want to climb or just see the mountain, the best time to visit is usually from May through June. The weather is most favorable then.
