Anatilde Jane "Tilde" de Paula Eby (born November 14, 1972) is a well-known Chilean-born Swedish journalist and television presenter. She has hosted many popular shows on TV4, one of Sweden's biggest TV channels. Tilde is famous for hosting events like the Nobel Prize and the Polar Music Prize. She was also a main host for the popular Swedish morning show Nyhetsmorgon for many years.

Early Life and Moving to Sweden

Tilde de Paula Díaz was born in 1972 in Chile. Her father was a politician from Brazil who had to leave his home country because he was in danger. He met Tilde's mother in Cuba, and they moved to Chile.

However, in 1973, there was a big change in Chile, and her family had to leave again. With help from a kind diplomat named Harald Edelstam and the Swedish embassy, Tilde's family moved to Sweden. Tilde has an older brother named Andes.

Before she started working in television, Tilde studied journalism. This helped her learn how to report news and tell stories.

A Career in Television

Tilde de Paula has been a television host since 1996. She is known for her warm and friendly way of presenting.

Hosting Music and News Shows

Since 2005, Tilde has been the host of the Polar Music Prize. This is a very important music award in Sweden. In 2006, she helped present a special election show called Nyhetsmorgon – valflyget.

From 1997 until 2018, Tilde was one of the main hosts of Nyhetsmorgon. This is Sweden's most popular morning show on TV4.

In 2015, Tilde wrote a best-selling book called Tiden läker inga sår (meaning "Time Heals No Wounds"). This book tells the story of her own family's past. It shows how her ancestors influenced her life. The story goes back five generations to 1867 in Tenerife. It then travels through Cuba, the United States, and Chile, before ending in Sweden today.
