Tim started acting at a very young age. When he was seven, he appeared on stage with his parents and sisters in a play called Jenny Kissed Me. At ten, he was on TV in a show that starred his father. Even though he thought about careers in sports, music, or even becoming a doctor or lawyer, he decided to follow his family into acting.
He studied acting and literature at Bennington College in Vermont, where he also acted in plays during the summer. After graduating in 1979, he moved back to New York to continue his acting and singing lessons. His first big acting role was in a play called Equus in 1978.
Acting Career Highlights
