Tommie James Campbell (born September 19, 1987) is an American former professional football player. He played as a cornerback in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). The Tennessee Titans picked him in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft.

Early Life and Sports
Tommie Campbell grew up in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania. While attending Aliquippa High School, he was a talented athlete. He played football, basketball, and ran track. In 2005, he even became the Pennsylvania state high school sprint champion.
College Football Journey
Tommie started his college football career at Pitt (2005–2006). He later played at Edinboro University in 2007. After facing some challenges, he took a break from college football. From 2008 to 2009, he worked at Pittsburgh International Airport.
In 2010, Tommie got another chance to play college football. He joined the California University of Pennsylvania team. He made the most of this new opportunity. Tommie played in all 12 games for California (Pa.). His coach, John Luckhardt, noted that Tommie had matured a lot. Tommie was very thankful to Coach Luckhardt for believing in him. He said that getting another chance helped him chase his dream of playing in the NFL.
Because of his strong comeback, Tommie was one of only eight Division II players chosen for the 2011 Eastham Energy All-Star Game. He also played in the Cactus Bowl, which is an All-Star game for Division II players. At the Cactus Bowl, Tommie ran a very fast 40-yard dash. His time of 4.31 seconds was one of the best among all the players there.
Professional Football Career
Playing for the Tennessee Titans
The Tennessee Titans selected Tommie Campbell in the seventh round of the 2011 NFL draft. He played for the Titans for a few seasons. On August 29, 2014, the team released him.
Time with the Jacksonville Jaguars
After leaving the Titans, Campbell signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He joined the team after another player, Alan Ball, had a season-ending injury. The Jaguars later waived him on August 29, 2015.
Success with the Calgary Stampeders
In 2016, Tommie Campbell joined the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL. He had a great season, starting all 18 games. He made 71 tackles and had 3 interceptions. One of his interceptions even won a game in overtime against the BC Lions. He was also named a West Division all-star.
During the off-season, Tommie faced some legal challenges. However, these issues were resolved, and all charges were dropped, clearing his record. He then returned to play for the Stampeders for their 2017 training camp.
Joining the Montreal Alouettes
Tommie Campbell signed with the Montreal Alouettes on February 13, 2018. He was considered one of the best players available at the time. He had a strong reputation for not allowing touchdowns during the 2017 season. On September 20, 2018, Campbell and the Alouettes agreed to a two-year contract extension. This kept him with the team through the 2020 season.
In 2018, Campbell played in 17 games. He made 38 tackles and had 1 interception. He was briefly removed from the lineup for one game by his coach. Even though the Alouettes finished with a 5–13 record, Tommie and the team's defense helped them improve. In 2019, Campbell started strong, forcing 3 turnovers in the first 4 games. He finished the season with 66 tackles and 3 interceptions in 16 games. He was also named a divisional All-Star. The Alouettes released him on January 31, 2020.
Final Season with the Toronto Argonauts
On February 5, 2020, Tommie Campbell signed with the Toronto Argonauts. He announced his retirement from football on December 30, 2020.
