Turners Hill, also known as Turner's Hill, is a special place in the West Midlands area of the United Kingdom. It's the highest hill in the whole county! This hill stands tall at about 269 meters (883 feet) above sea level. It's part of a group of hills called the Rowley Hills. You can find it in Rowley Regis, which is very close to Dudley.

This impressive hill can be seen from many miles away. If you stand on Turners Hill, you get amazing views of the surrounding countryside. On a clear day, you can see far-off places like the Clent Hills, Kinver Edge, and even the Shropshire and Malvern Hills. Drivers on the M5 Motorway often spot Turners Hill between Junctions 1 and 2.

Exploring Turners Hill

Turners Hill is more than just a high point; it has some interesting features. It's a place where nature meets human activity.

What You Can Find There

On the southern side of the hill, you'll find active quarries. These are places where people dig into the ground to get a special type of rock. The rock found here is called diabase, which is a strong, dark rock used in building.

Right at the very top of Turners Hill, there are two very tall radio transmission towers. These towers are huge and can be seen from far away. They help send out radio signals across the area.

Also located on the hill is the Dudley Golf Club. It's a great spot for people who enjoy playing golf with a view!
