Tyree Washington, born on August 28, 1976, is a retired American sprinter. He was born in Riverside, California. Tyree went to La Sierra High School and San Bernardino Valley College. He became known for his speed in races like the 200 and 400 meters.

In 1998, Tyree was part of a team that set a world record in the 4 × 400 meters relay. However, some of his teammates later broke rules about fair play. Because of this, the record was given to a different team.

At the 2003 World Championships, Tyree's team first won gold in the 4 × 400 meters relay. He also finished second in the 400 meters race. Later, one of his teammates was found to have broken rules. This meant Tyree's relay team lost their gold medals. However, because another teammate also broke rules, Tyree was later awarded the gold medal for his 400 meters race. This shows how important it is for all athletes to follow the rules.

Tyree's last big win was at the 2006 world indoor championships. He stopped competing in 2008.
