Valserhône is a town in eastern France. It is located in the Ain department, which is part of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region. The name Valserhône comes from two rivers, the Valserine and the Rhône, which meet there.
This town was formed on January 1, 2019. It was created by combining three smaller towns: Bellegarde-sur-Valserine, Châtillon-en-Michaille, and Lancrans. In 2018, these three towns together had about 16,431 people. Bellegarde-sur-Valserine was the largest of the three. Valserhône is now the third biggest town in Ain, after Bourg-en-Bresse and Oyonnax.
