Vaneeza Ahmad (Urdu: ونیزہ احمد), born on June 24, 1971, is a famous Pakistani model and actress. She also sings sometimes. As a model, she became very successful and was the face of many big brands in Pakistan. She was the first Pakistani model to work for famous international brands like Donna Karan and Calvin Klein.

Her Early Life

Vaneeza Ahmad shared that when she was young, most students thought about careers like medicine, engineering, or teaching. Being a model was not a common job choice for girls back then. Vaneeza came back to Pakistan when she was 18. She went to Kinnaird College in Lahore and earned a degree in psychology.

While she was at university, Vaneeza started modeling just for fun. Even though she wasn't planning to be a full-time model, many fashion designers noticed her. Some of these designers were very well-known in Pakistan, like Nilofer Shahid.

Becoming a Model

When designer Nilofer Shahid asked Vaneeza to model, Vaneeza wasn't sure what career she wanted. She decided to try fashion modeling. People in the entertainment business also praised her good business sense.

Her Own Brand: Vaneeza

Vaneeza Ahmad created her own brand called "Vlawn." This brand sells special lawn fabrics, which are light cotton materials. Her first collection had nine different designs. Famous designers like Nomi Ansari and Umar Sayeed helped create these prints. In March 2006, her collection sold out very quickly. She continued to sell her "VLawn" women's suits in 2011.

Acting and Achievements

Vaneeza Ahmad started acting in a TV show called Kal. Since then, she has appeared in many other shows like Tum Hi Tau Ho and Janey Anjaney. She also acted in the 1998 movie Jinnah. In this film, she played Dina Wadia, who was the daughter of Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

On April 16, 2008, Vaneeza Ahmad was chosen to carry the Olympic torch. This happened when the torch came to Islamabad. She was one of only 66 people chosen to hold the torch during the relay.

Her Family Life

Vaneeza married Ali Afzal Malik, a businessman from Islamabad, in July 2010. They have two daughters. Vaneeza also runs her own small business. Her aunt, Bindiya, is also an actress. Another aunt, Meena Pervaiz, is a newscaster.
