Vaneeza Ahmad, born on June 24, 1971, is a famous Pakistani model, actress, and sometimes a singer. She is well-known for being the face of many big brands in Pakistan. Vaneeza was also the first Pakistani model to work with famous international designers like Donna Karan and Calvin Klein.

Her Early Life

Vaneeza Ahmad shared that when she was young, most college students had only a few career choices. These included becoming a doctor, an engineer, or a teacher. Modelling was not seen as a career option for girls back then.

Vaneeza returned to Pakistan when she was 18 years old. She went to Kinnaird College, a university in Lahore. There, she studied psychology and earned her bachelor's degree.

While she was at university, Vaneeza started modelling just for fun. Even though she wasn't very interested in making it a full-time job, many fashion designers noticed her. Some of these designers, like Nilofer Shahid, were very famous in Pakistan's fashion world.

Becoming a Model

When designer Nilofer Shahid asked Vaneeza to model, Vaneeza was still thinking about what career to choose. She decided to try fashion modelling. People in the entertainment business also praised her smart business skills.

The "Vaneeza" Brand

Vaneeza Ahmad created her own brand of lawn fabrics called "Vlawn." This collection featured nine different fabric designs. Famous designers like Nomi Ansari, Umar Sayeed, and Hassan Sheheryar Yasin helped create these designs.

In March 2006, her collection sold out very quickly at several shows. She continued to offer her "VLawn" brand of women's suits in 2011.

Acting and Achievements

Vaneeza Ahmad started her acting career in a TV show called Kal. Since then, she has appeared in many other shows. Some of these include Tum Hi Tau Ho, Janey Anjaney, and Tum Say Mil Ker. She also acted in the films Armaan, Khayal, and Talaash (Pakistani TV series).

In 1998, Vaneeza played Dina Wadia in the movie Jinnah. Dina Wadia was the daughter of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, who founded Pakistan.

On April 16, 2008, Vaneeza Ahmad was chosen to be an Olympic torch bearer. This happened when the torch came to Islamabad. She was one of only 66 people chosen to carry the torch in the relay.

Vaneeza's Personal Life

Vaneeza married Ali Afzal Malik, a businessman from Islamabad, in July 2010. They have two daughters together. Vaneeza also manages her own business. Her aunt, Bindiya, is an actress, and another aunt, Meena Pervaiz, is a newscaster.
