Vanessa Karen White (born 30 October 1989) is an English singer. She became famous in 2008 as a member of the girl group The Saturdays.

In 2007, Vanessa tried out for The Saturdays and joined the group. Before that, she had been trying to start a solo singing career. Once she joined, the group began recording music and released many popular songs. The Saturdays became very successful in the United Kingdom. Later, they signed deals to release their music in the United States. This led to their first UK number-one song, "What About Us". Vanessa is known for her strong voice, which has been compared to singers like Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey. She is the youngest member of The Saturdays.

Even while still in The Saturdays, Vanessa started working on her own music projects. She sang on songs by artists like Master Shortie and Vince Kidd. In 2014, The Saturdays decided to take a break after their Greatest Hits Live! tour. Vanessa then started recording her own solo music, working with artists like Wretch 32. She has released two mini-albums, called Chapter One and Chapter Two.

Since 2007, Vanessa White has been a key member of the girl group The Saturdays. By October 2017, the group had achieved many hits. They had thirteen songs in the Top 10 and five albums in the Top 10.

The Saturdays released their first song, "If This Is Love", in July 2008. It reached number eight in the UK charts. Their next song, "Up", reached number five in the UK. It later earned a Silver Disc, meaning it sold a lot of copies.

In late October 2008, the group released their first studio album, Chasing Lights. Vanessa is known for her powerful voice. Other band members even called her "our Christina Aguilera" because of her amazing vocal range. She was the only member of The Saturdays to sing a solo part on every song on their first album. People have also compared her voice to American singers like Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, and Mariah Carey.

Chasing Lights reached number nine in the UK. It was certified Platinum by the BPI, meaning it sold over 300,000 copies. The band released a third song from the album, "Issues", which also went Silver. They then released a cover of "Just Can't Get Enough". This song reached number two in the UK. The last song from the album was "Work". This was the first song by the group that did not reach the top 20.

The group then went on a UK tour called The Work Tour. During a show in Dundee, Vanessa had an accident backstage. She tripped over a cable and hurt her ankle. She tore a ligament, which meant she missed a lot of that night's show. After paramedics helped her, she was able to join the group on stage in a wheelchair. For the next few shows, Vanessa sat on a bar stool. Slowly, she started to stand for more and more songs as her ankle healed.

In October 2009, the group released their second album, Wordshaker. It reached number nine and was certified Silver. The first song from this album, "Forever Is Over", reached number two in the UK. The Saturdays also appeared in many advertisements for different products. In early 2010, they released the last song from their second album, "Ego". It reached number nine and was certified Silver.

In summer 2010, The Saturdays released Headlines!, which was their third album. It reached number three in the UK and number ten in Ireland. Their eighth song, "Missing You", reached number three in the UK. Band member Rochelle Wiseman said the next song would be "Higher". It was later confirmed that rapper Flo Rida had added his voice to "Higher".

On Your Radar was the girls' third studio album. It reached number 23 in the UK. However, it included popular songs like "All Fired Up" and "Notorious". In December 2011, the group went on their first big arena tour, the All Fired Up Tour!.

The first song from their fourth album was "30 Days", released in May 2012. It reached number seven. Later that year, they moved to Los Angeles for a short time. They hoped to become famous in America. To help with this, E! Network showed Chasing The Saturdays. This was a reality TV show that followed the girls during their three months in America. The show started in January 2013 but was stopped after one season.

The band released "What About Us" (featuring rapper Sean Paul) in March 2013. This song became their first number one hit. It was also the best-selling song of that year at the time. Later in the year, "Gentleman" and "Disco Love" were released. Both of these songs reached the top 15. Their album Living for the Weekend became the band's fourth album to reach the top ten.

The last song from the album was "Not Giving Up", a favorite among fans. It was released in April 2014 and was their seventeenth song to reach the top 40. The band took a break in 2014. They released a greatest hits album called Finest Selection: The Greatest Hits that same year. The only new song from this album, "What Are You Waiting For?", reached number thirty-seven. This was their lowest-charting song so far.
