Walker, Texas Ranger is an exciting action and police TV show. It was created by Leslie Greif and Paul Haggis. The show stars Chuck Norris as a brave member of the Texas Rangers. His friends and co-stars include Sheree J. Wilson as Alex Cahill, a lawyer, and Clarence Gilyard as Jimmy Trivette, another Texas Ranger.

The show first aired in 1993 on CBS with three special episodes. It then ran for eight full seasons, from September 25, 1993, to May 19, 2001. It was shown in over 100 countries! There was even a TV movie called Trial By Fire. You can still watch reruns of the show today, and all the episodes are available on DVD.

The show is famous for its good values. The main characters are always doing positive things, like helping their community. They often use martial arts to solve problems and help people. Walker, Texas Ranger became one of the most popular action shows ever and is still loved by many fans!

The Story of Walker, Texas Ranger

The series is about a Texas Ranger named Cordell Walker. He works in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Walker was raised by his uncle, Ray Firewalker (Floyd Red Crow Westerman), who was a Native American.

Before becoming a Ranger, Cordell was a Marine in a special unit during the Vietnam War. Both Cordell and Uncle Ray believe in the strong values of the Wild West sheriffs. They always try to do what is right.

Meet Walker's Friends and Team

Walker's partner and best friend is James "Jimmy" Trivette (Clarence Gilyard). Jimmy used to play for the Dallas Cowboys football team. He has a more modern way of solving problems. Jimmy grew up in Baltimore and used football to get to college. He became a Ranger after a shoulder injury ended his football career.

Jimmy often uses computers and cell phones to help with cases. He collects information about people who have been taken into custody.

Walker also works closely with Alexandra "Alex" Cahill (Sheree J. Wilson). She is an Assistant District Attorney. Walker and Alex have a special connection. Sometimes, Alex gets a bit worried if Walker doesn't solve cases quickly enough.

C.D. Parker and New Rangers

Walker also gets advice from C.D. Parker (Noble Willingham). C.D. was a veteran Ranger who worked with Walker. He later retired to run his own restaurant and bar called "CD's Bar and Grill." This restaurant is famous in the show for its chili! C.D. was even put into the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame.

In the seventh season, two new rookie Texas Rangers join the team. They are Sydney Cooke (Nia Peeples) and Francis Gage (Judson Mills). They work under Walker and Trivette's guidance.
