Wallace Spearmon Jr. (born December 24, 1984) is a retired American runner. He was known for his speed in the 200-meter sprint. Wallace won many awards, including a silver medal at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. He also earned bronze medals at the World Championships in 2007 and 2009.

Wallace Spearmon's Running Career
Wallace Spearmon Jr. went to Fayetteville High School. Later, he attended the University of Arkansas. There, he competed in college track and field for two years.
Early Wins in College and World Championships
While at the University of Arkansas, Wallace won several important races. He won the 200-meter NCAA Outdoor title in both 2004 and 2005. He also won the NCAA Indoor 200-meter title in 2005.
In August 2005, Wallace earned a silver medal. This was for the 200 meters at the World Championships. Two years later, in August 2007, he won a bronze medal at the World Championships.
Wallace also won the 200 meters at the USA outdoor athletics championships in 2006. He finished second in the same event in 2007. At the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, he won another bronze medal.

In 2014, Wallace received a short suspension. This was because he took a medicine that contained a banned substance. He had not asked for permission to use it. The sports authority accepted his explanation, treating it as a minor mistake.
