Webb is a small town located in Houston County, Alabama, in the United States. It was named after B. F. Webb, a plantation owner who settled in the area around 1890. The town officially became a town in 1903. It is part of the larger Dothan Metropolitan Area. In 2020, about 1,270 people lived in Webb.

Geography of Webb

Webb is located in the northern part of Houston County. Its exact location is 31°15′37″N 85°17′1″W / 31.26028°N 85.28361°W / 31.26028; -85.28361.

  • To the northwest, it shares a border with the town of Kinsey.
  • To the west, it is next to the city of Dothan.
  • At its very southern tip, it touches the town of Cowarts.

Alabama State Route 52 is a main road that goes through Webb. This road leads west about 7 miles (11 km) to Dothan. If you go east on the same road, it's about 10 miles (16 km) to Columbia, which is near the Georgia border.

The U.S. Census Bureau states that the town of Webb covers a total area of 11.4 square miles (29.5 km2). All of this area is land, with no large bodies of water.
