The West Branch Neshaminy Creek is a cool waterway in Pennsylvania. It's one of two main parts of the larger Neshaminy Creek. The other part is called the North Branch. Both of these creeks are important because they are part of the huge Delaware River watershed. This means their water eventually flows into the Delaware River, then out to the ocean! You can find this creek flowing through Bucks and Montgomery Counties.

Where Does the Creek Flow?

The West Branch Neshaminy Creek starts its journey from a small pond. This pond is located near County Line Road. It sits at a height of about 340 feet (100 m) above sea level.

The Creek's Path

  • First, the creek flows south for about 2.70 miles (4.35 km).
  • Along the way, it meets a smaller stream joining it from the left side.
  • Then, it turns southeast and travels for about 1.3 miles (2.1 km). Here, another small stream joins it from the right.
  • After that, the creek takes a winding path. It goes east, then northeast, and finally southeast.
  • More streams join it, including one called Arrowhead Spring Creek.
  • Finally, the West Branch meets up with the North Branch. This is where they combine to form the main Neshaminy Creek. This meeting point is about 240 feet (73 m) above sea level.

The West Branch Neshaminy Creek is about 8.01 miles (12.89 km) long. It helps drain an area of about 25 square miles (65 km2). This means it collects water from a large piece of land.
