Wexford is a cool place in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA. It's not one big town, but a community spread across a few smaller areas. These include Franklin Park, McCandless, Pine Township, and Marshall Township. Wexford got its name from County Wexford in Ireland. History of Wexford
Wexford has an interesting past. In 1998, its phone area code changed from 412 to 724. This happened because Wexford is close to Cranberry Township. Cranberry Township was growing very fast at the time.
Road Improvements in Wexford
The Wexford area is always growing, with new neighborhoods appearing. To help with more cars on the road, U.S. Route 19 was made bigger in 2012. This road goes through the "flats" of Wexford. Before, it had four lanes, but turning left was hard due to heavy traffic. Adding a center turn lane made driving much easier for everyone.
