Woodbury is a friendly town located in Cannon County, Tennessee, in the United States. It's part of the larger Nashville Metropolitan Statistical Area, which means it's connected to the big city of Nashville. Woodbury is about 55 miles southeast of downtown Nashville. In 2020, about 2,703 people lived here. Woodbury is also the county seat of Cannon County, which means it's where the county's government is located.

Town Location and Area

Woodbury is a small town found right in the middle of Cannon County. It sits in a valley near the East Fork of the Stones River. This river is part of the Cumberland River system, which flows through Nashville.

How to Get Around Woodbury

Major roads help people travel to and from Woodbury. U.S. Route 70S goes through the town. You can take it west about 19 miles to Murfreesboro. Or, you can go southeast about 20 miles to McMinnville.

Tennessee State Route 53 heads south from Woodbury about 24 miles to Manchester. If you go north on this road, it's about 16 miles to Liberty. From the west side of Woodbury, Tennessee State Route 145 goes north about 10 miles to Auburntown.

The United States Census Bureau says that Woodbury covers a total area of about 5.2 square kilometers (2.0 square miles). All of this area is land.
