The first season of the animated TV show WordGirl started on September 3, 2007. It was first shown on PBS in the United States. This season introduced viewers to WordGirl, a superhero who uses her amazing vocabulary to fight bad guys and teach new words!
Meet the Voices: The Cast
Many talented actors brought the characters of WordGirl to life. Here are some of the main voices you heard in the first season:
- Dannah Phirman: She was the voice of Becky Botsford, who is secretly WordGirl! She also voiced Claire McCallister, Chuck's Mom, Edith Von Hoosinghaus, and Pretty Princess.
- Chris Parnell: He was the Narrator, who guides you through each episode. He also voiced Henchmen #1, Museum Security Guard, Exposition Guy, and Mazo-Racer Driver.
- James Adomian: He voiced Bob, who is WordGirl's sidekick, Captain Huggy Face! He also played the Candlestick Maker and Timmy Tim-Bo.
- Jack D. Ferraiolo: The voice of The Butcher.
- Fred Stoller: He voiced Chuck the Evil Sandwich Making Guy.
- Cree Summer: The voice of Granny May.
- Patton Oswalt: He voiced Theodore “Tobey” McCallister the Third and the Robots.
