The fifth season of the fun animated show WordGirl aired on PBS in the United States. It started on September 10, 2012, and finished on June 14, 2013. This season was special because it was the first time that the "May I Have a Word" segments didn't have brand new episodes. WordGirl is all about a superhero who uses her amazing vocabulary to fight bad guys and teach viewers new words!
Meet the Voices!
Many talented actors lend their voices to the characters in WordGirl. Here are some of the main voice actors from Season 5:
- Dannah Phirman: She voices Becky Botsford, who is secretly WordGirl! She also plays Claire McCallister, Chuck's Mom, Edith Von Hoosinghaus, and Pretty Princess.
- Chris Parnell: He is the Narrator, who tells us what's happening. He also voices Henchmen #1, the Museum Security Guard, and Exposition Guy.
- James Adomian: He voices Bob, who is WordGirl's sidekick, Captain Huggy Face. He also plays Chip Von Dumor, Harry Kempel, and Hal Hardbargain.
- Jack D. Ferraiolo: He is the voice of The Butcher, a villain who loves meat.
- Fred Stoller: He voices Chuck the Evil Sandwich Making Guy, a villain who uses sandwiches in his crimes.
- Cree Summer: She is the voice of Granny May, an elderly villain.
- Patton Oswalt: He voices Theodore “Tobey” McCallister the Third, a boy genius who creates robots. He also voices the Robots.
- Tom Kenny: He voices Dr. Two-Brains, a mouse-human villain obsessed with cheese. He also plays TJ Botsford, Warden Chalmers, and Brent the Handsome Successful Everyone Loves Him Sandwich Making Guy.
- Jeffrey Tambor: He is the voice of Mr. Big, a villain who tries to control people's minds.
- John C. McGinley: He voices The Whammer, a villain who loves to "wham" things.
- Maria Bamford: She voices Violet Heaslip, Sally Botsford, and Leslie.
- Grey DeLisle: She voices Lady Redundant Woman, who always says things twice. She also plays Ms. Question.
- Pamela Adlon: She voices Eileen, also known as The Birthday Girl.
- Ryan Raddatz: He voices Todd “Scoops” Ming, a young reporter, and Tim Botsford.
- Larry Murphy: He voices The Amazing Rope Guy, an African-American Cop, and Anthony the News Reporter.

- Ron Lynch: He is the voice of The Mayor.
- H. Jon Benjamin: He voices Reginald the Jewelry Store Clerk and Invisi-Bill.
