Wrightsville is a city located in Johnson County, Georgia, in the United States. It's the main town, or county seat, of Johnson County. In 2010, about 2,195 people lived there. By 2020, the population grew to 3,449. Wrightsville is part of the larger Dublin area.

History of Wrightsville
The city of Wrightsville was officially created in 1866 by the Georgia General Assembly. It was named after John B. Wright, who helped promote and develop the town.
Geography and Location
Wrightsville is found west of the center of Johnson County. Its exact location is 32°43′30″N 82°43′13″W / 32.72500°N 82.72028°W.
Roads and Highways
Several important roads pass through Wrightsville:
- U.S. Route 319 goes through the city center on Elm Street. It connects Wrightsville to Bartow (19 miles northeast) and Dublin (18 miles southwest).
- State Route 15 also runs through the center. It leads north to Sandersville (19 miles) and southeast to Adrian (17 miles).
- State Route 57 goes west to Irwinton (37 miles) and southeast to Swainsboro (25 miles).

Arts and Culture in Wrightsville
Wrightsville is known for its special annual event, the Old Fashioned Fourth of July Festival. This festival has been a tradition in the town since 1976.
Fourth of July Festival
The festival kicks off on the evening of July 3rd with a fantastic fireworks show. After the fireworks, there's a lively street dance held in the courthouse square. The celebrations continue on the morning of July 4th with a big parade. Local churches and businesses create colorful floats for the parade, and there's even a contest to pick the best float design. Following the parade, the downtown area fills with various booths and vendors offering fun activities and items.
