The Wyoming State Forest was once a special area of land in Pennsylvania. It was managed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Forestry. This forest was known by this name until July 1, 2005. On that date, the state forests in eastern Pennsylvania were reorganized. This means the name "Wyoming State Forest" was no longer used.
The main office for this forest was in Bloomsburg. This town is located in Columbia County, Pennsylvania.

What Happened to Wyoming State Forest?
After the reorganization in 2005, the land that was once Wyoming State Forest was divided. It became part of other state forests.
New Forest Homes
Most of the land in Sullivan County became part of the new Loyalsock State Forest. This new forest also included land from eastern Lycoming County. That land used to be part of the Tiadaghton State Forest. Some land from Bradford County also joined Loyalsock State Forest. This land was previously part of the Tioga State Forest.
Where Other Parts Went
Before the change, Wyoming State Forest also covered parts of other counties. These included Columbia, southern Luzerne, Montour, and Northumberland counties.
After the reorganization:
- Southern Luzerne County became part of the Pinchot State Forest.
- Columbia, Montour, and Northumberland Counties became part of the Weiser State Forest.

Even though Wyoming State Forest no longer exists by that name, the land is still there. It is now part of other beautiful state forests and parks.
