Exploring Y Foel Goch
Y Foel Goch stands at 805 meters (about 2,641 feet) tall. Its name comes from the Welsh language and means "red bold hill." It's part of the Glyderau mountain range, which is well-known for its rugged landscapes.
What's the Summit Like?
The very top of Y Foel Goch is mostly covered in grass. You'll also see a few small rock formations there. A small pile of stones, called a cairn, marks the highest point.
From the summit, the views are mainly of the big mountains nearby. You can see Moel Siabod, Tryfan, and Glyder Fach. The mountain ridge continues eastward, leading towards Gallt yr Ogof.
