Ysgafell Wen North Top is a mountain peak found in Snowdonia, a stunning national park in North Wales. It sits on a long line of hills known as a ridge. This peak is located just north of the highest point on this ridge, which is called Ysgafell Wen. It is also considered a smaller peak connected to a larger mountain named Allt-fawr.
About Ysgafell Wen North Top
The very top of Ysgafell Wen North Top is located right on the edge of a valley called Cwm Edno. This edge drops down very steeply into the valley below. The name "Ysgafell Wen" comes from the Welsh language and means "white ledge."
What is a Mountain Ridge?
A ridge is like a long, narrow chain of mountains or hills. Imagine the spine of a giant animal; that's similar to a mountain ridge. Ysgafell Wen North Top is one of the peaks along such a ridge in Snowdonia.
