Yvonne Jaqueline Strzechowski (born on July 30, 1982) is an Australian actress. She is known by her professional name, Yvonne Strahovski. She has played many famous characters in TV shows and movies.
Yvonne is well-known for her role as Sarah Walker in the spy comedy show Chuck (2007–2012). She also played Hannah McKay in the drama series Dexter (2012–2013). Later, she was Kate Morgan in the action series 24: Live Another Day (2014).
Since 2017, Yvonne has starred as Serena Joy Waterford in the drama series The Handmaid's Tale. For this role, she has been nominated for several big awards, including two Primetime Emmy Awards.
Yvonne has also appeared in many films. These include Killer Elite (2011), The Guilt Trip (2012), and The Tomorrow War (2021). She has also lent her voice to video games like the Mass Effect series, where she played Miranda Lawson. She also voiced Batwoman in the animated movie Batman: Bad Blood (2016).

Early Life and Education
Yvonne Jaqueline Strzechowski was born in Werrington Downs, New South Wales, Australia. Her parents, Piotr and Bożena Strzechowski, moved to Australia from Warsaw, Poland. Her father is an engineer, and her mother works as a lab technician.
Yvonne's family lived in Werrington Downs until she was five. They then moved to Bass Hill and later to Maroubra, a coastal suburb. She started taking acting lessons when she was 12 years old.
After finishing high school, Yvonne went to the University of Western Sydney. She studied at their Theatre Nepean program and earned a degree in arts in performance in 2003. She then worked as an actress in Australian theater for three years. After that, she got a role in the American TV series Chuck.
Acting Career Highlights
Yvonne Strahovski began acting in school plays. She played Viola in a school production of Twelfth Night. She also appeared in Australian TV shows and films. These included the satirical show Double the Fist and the drama series headLand. She also had a role in Channel Nine's Sea Patrol.
While in the United States, Yvonne sent an audition tape for the TV series Chuck. She was also trying out for other shows at the time. She got the part of Sarah Walker after reading lines with Zachary Levi. Six months later, she moved to the United States. At this time, she changed her stage name to Strahovski, which is easier to pronounce.

Yvonne speaks Polish fluently, in addition to English. She used her Polish language skills in a few episodes of Chuck. Even though she played an American character, she briefly used a "Hollywood" Australian accent in one episode.

Yvonne has done a lot of voice acting for video games. She voiced Miranda Lawson in Mass Effect Galaxy, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3. Her face was even scanned to create the character of Lawson in Mass Effect 2.
She also voiced Aya Brea in the English version of the video game The 3rd Birthday. In 2011, she appeared in a funny video for CollegeHumor. In the video, she made fun of the singing styles of pop stars like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.

In 2011, Yvonne appeared in the film Killer Elite. She acted alongside famous stars like Jason Statham and Robert De Niro. In 2012, she was in the comedy movie The Guilt Trip. She starred with Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand.
Yvonne received the Teen Choice Award for Choice Action TV Actress for Chuck in 2010. She was also nominated for an award for her voice work in Mass Effect 2. In 2011, Cosmopolitan Magazine in Australia named her the Fun Fearless Female of the Year.
