Zakynthos (Greek: Ζάκυνθος, romanizedZákynthos) is a city in Greece. It is also known as Zante. This city is the main town on the island of Zakynthos, which is part of the Ionian Islands.

Since 2011, Zakynthos City is a special part of the larger Zakynthos municipality. It serves as the capital of the entire island. People in Greece often call the main town "Chora" if it has the same name as the island.

The area of Zakynthos City is about 45.79 square kilometers (17.68 sq mi). In 2021, about 16,996 people lived there. The city is divided into smaller areas called communities. These include Zakynthos, Ampelokipoi, Argasi, Vasilikos, Gaitani, and Bochali. The Strofades islands are also part of this area. They are about 50 kilometers (31 mi) south of Zakynthos island.
