Zeta Bosio, Gustavo Cerati, and Charly Alberti created Soda Stereo in 1982. They made many albums before the band broke up in 1997. After that, Zeta worked on other projects. He helped promote new bands through a music website called ProyectoUnder.com. He also runs his own record label, Alerta Discos. Zeta has produced albums for groups like "Aguirre" and "Peligrosos Gorriones." He also hosted a TV show called "Rock Road" and was a judge on the Chilean TV show Factor X in 2011.

Zeta Bosio's Early Life and Music

Zeta Bosio started loving music when he was 11 years old. He heard The Beatles and decided he wanted to learn to play the bass guitar.

Forming Early Bands

While in school, he formed two bands: "Water" and "La Banda de San Francisco." Later, he joined the navy. With his first paycheck, he bought a bass guitar in Puerto Rico. In the army, he played in the orchestra and became a better musician. He played all kinds of music, from salsa to Arabic songs.

When he returned to Buenos Aires, he studied advertising at a university. He joined a band called "The Morgan." This band included other musicians like Andres Calamaro and later, Gustavo Cerati. They even played on a TV show called "Happy Sunday."

Meeting Gustavo Cerati

In 1979, Zeta met Gustavo Cerati at college, but they didn't become close friends right away. In the summer of 1982, they met again in Punta del Este, Uruguay. Cerati was with his group Sauvage, and Bosio was with The Morgan. After some adventures, Cerati and Bosio became good friends and decided to play music together.

Zeta and Gustavo liked the same kind of music and had similar dreams. They wanted to form a punk rock group, inspired by bands like The Police. They wanted to play their own songs in Spanish. Gustavo first joined The Morgan. Then he formed other bands like the Stress and Erekto Project.

How Soda Stereo Began

Soon after, Gustavo and Zeta decided to visit Charly Alberti. Charly was the son of a famous drummer, Tito Alberti. Charly was younger than Zeta and Gustavo. They wanted to hear him play his father's drums. That's where Soda Stereo was formed. The band played its first show in July 1983.

In Soda Stereo, Zeta played the bass guitar and sang backing vocals. He also played acoustic guitar and the chapman stick.

After Soda Stereo

Soda Stereo broke up in September 1997. After that, Zeta worked with other groups. He managed artists for Sony Music Argentina for a while. Later, he started his own record label, Alert Discos.

From 2005 to 2007, Zeta hosted a TV show called "Rock Road" on an Argentine TV channel. He also played bass for the band Catupecu Machu after their bassist had an accident.

Soda Stereo Reunion Tour

In June 2007, Soda Stereo announced they would get back together for a tour. Between October and December of that year, Zeta Bosio and Soda Stereo played concerts all over Latin America. This tour was called Me Verás Volver.

In 2008, Zeta and the other members of Soda Stereo went back to their own projects after their short reunion. Zeta hosted a radio show called Keep Rockin on Radio Rock & Pop. He also toured as a DJ, performing in different parts of Latin America. He loves electronic music and dance music. Zeta has plans to release his own album with his mixes and songs.
