Zoë E. Bell (born on November 17, 1978) is a talented New Zealand stuntwoman and actress. She is famous for doing amazing stunts in movies and TV shows.
Zoë Bell has been the stunt double for well-known actresses like Lucy Lawless in Xena: Warrior Princess. She also performed stunts for Uma Thurman in the Kill Bill movies.
Besides stunts, Zoë is also an actress. She played herself in the Quentin Tarantino film Death Proof. She has also appeared in other movies by Tarantino, like The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. In this last movie, she was also a stunt coordinator, meaning she helped plan the stunts.
She was also the stunt double for Cate Blanchett in the superhero movie Thor: Ragnarok in 2017.

Early Life and Training
Zoë Bell was born on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Her mom, Tish, was a nurse, and her dad, Andrew, was a doctor. She has a younger brother named Jake.
From a young age, Zoë was very active. She did gymnastics and started learning taekwon-do when she was 15. She also enjoyed dancing, high diving, scuba diving, and track and field sports. She went to Auckland Girls' Grammar School and Selwyn College.
Zoë's Stunt Career
Zoë Bell started her stunt career in 1992. Her first stunt job was jumping out of a car in a New Zealand TV show called Shortland Street.
She worked as a stunt performer for Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess. Both shows were filmed in New Zealand. By the fourth season of Xena, she was the main stunt double for Lucy Lawless, who played Xena. She once hurt her back while doing stunts for the show but kept working.
After Xena, Zoë worked on other films and TV shows. She became the stunt double for Uma Thurman in Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill movies. She had to learn a special fighting style called wushu for these films.
In 2004, a documentary called Double Dare was made about Zoë and another stuntwoman, Jeannie Epper. The film showed Zoë's journey as she started her career in Hollywood.
Zoë Bell has won awards for her stunt work. In 2005, she won the "Best Overall Stunt by a Stunt Woman" and "Best Fight" awards at the Taurus World Stunt Awards for her work in Kill Bill: Volume 2.
Acting Roles and More Stunts
Quentin Tarantino was so impressed with Zoë that he cast her in a main role in his 2007 film, Death Proof. In this movie, she played herself and did all her own stunts. One famous scene shows her clinging to the hood of a fast-moving car!
In 2008, Zoë Bell appeared in an episode of the TV show Lost. She also starred with her former Xena co-star Lucy Lawless in the web series Angel of Death.
Zoë also played a roller derby star named "Bloody Holly" in the 2009 movie Whip It, directed by Drew Barrymore. She continued to do stunt work and acting in many other films and TV shows over the years.
