Diane Kruger (born Diane Heidkrüger on July 15, 1976) is a famous German actress. She became well-known early in her career. She even received a special award called the Trophée Chopard at the Cannes Film Festival. This award celebrates new acting talent.

Diane Kruger is famous for many movie roles. She played Helen in the epic film Troy (2004). She was also Dr. Abigail Chase in the adventure movies National Treasure (2004) and its 2007 sequel. Diane Heidkrüger was born on July 15, 1976, in Lower Saxony, Germany. She grew up in a Catholic family. She went to a Catholic school. One of her grandmothers was from Poland.

Diane Kruger became very interested in acting. She took lessons at a drama school called Cours Florent. Her first film role was in 2002. It was a TV movie called The Piano Player. The same year, she also starred in Mon Idole, a film directed by her husband at the time.
