Zuri Hall (born June 2, 1988) is an American television personality, reporter, actress, and producer. She is well-known for her work as a correspondent for Access Hollywood on NBC. Zuri Hall also reports from the sidelines for NBC's summer competition show, American Ninja Warrior. She has hosted several major beauty pageants, including Miss USA 2021, Miss USA 2022, Miss Universe 2022, Miss Universe 2023, and Miss Universe 2024.

Early Life and Education

Zuri Hall was born on June 2, 1988, in Toledo, Ohio. From a young age, she was very interested in the arts, especially theatre. She finished high school at Maumee Valley Country Day School in 2006. Later, she attended The Ohio State University, graduating in 2010. She earned a degree in strategic communication and also studied theatre, focusing on acting. She received a full scholarship, called the Morrill Scholar, for all four years of college.

Career in Entertainment

Broadcasting and Hosting

Zuri Hall started her career by winning a competition to become the "Face of MyINDY-TV" in Indianapolis. She was the first woman to win this role. At MyINDY-TV, she covered local events and interviewed celebrities. From 2011 to 2012, she hosted and produced Living Dayton, a local talk show in Ohio. She also appeared as a guest reporter on BET's 106 & Park.

Zuri was also a master of ceremonies (MC) for many sports teams and events. She hosted home games for the Indiana Pacers basketball team for two seasons. She also worked as an MC for the MiLB's Indianapolis Indians and the WNBA's Indiana Fever. She hosted events for the NCAA Women's Division I Basketball Championship for three years. In 2012, she was the official MC for the Super Bowl Village, a big 10-day event for Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis.

Later, Zuri moved to Dallas, Texas, where she anchored the evening news for CW33's 'Nightcap News'. In 2013, she moved to New York City to work at FUSE TV. There, she co-hosted Trending 10, a live daily countdown show. She also made appearances on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live and E!'s Fashion Police.

Until 2015, Zuri worked for MTV, hosting reunion shows and specials for programs like The Challenge: Battle of the Exes II. She also appeared on Uncommon Sense on MTV2. In October 2015, she returned to host after-shows for The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines.

From 2015 to 2019, Zuri Hall was a reporter for E! News. During this time, she hosted What's Good with Zuri Hall on Instagram and What the Fashion on Snapchat. In October 2019, she joined NBC as a correspondent for Access Hollywood. She also became a sideline reporter for American Ninja Warrior. She helps host AllAccess, a show that covers entertainment news and true crime stories.

Acting Roles

Zuri Hall began her acting career in commercials. She appeared in national ads for companies like Value City Furniture and Safe Auto, and for Ohio tourism. She has also made guest appearances on several TV shows. In 2019, she had a small role alongside Jennifer Aniston in Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show." She also appeared on TV Land's "Nobodies," "The Arrangement" on E!, and the digital series "Hashtaggers." Zuri studied improv comedy at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City.

Community Impact

Zuri Hall uses her platform to make a positive difference. She works with Access Hollywood and the Black & Missing Foundation. Through this partnership, she interviews authorities and families of missing people of color. Her goal is to share their stories and bring attention to unsolved cases.

In 2020, she was a panelist on Bravo's special "Race in America: Our Vote Counts." She discussed the importance of the Black vote. Zuri also gave a speech for her hometown NAACP chapter in 2018. Awards and Recognition

Just one year after graduating from college, Zuri Hall won a Regional Emmy Award for Outstanding Host and Talent. In 2017, she was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment News Program as part of her work on E! News.
