The EM Normandie Business School is a well-known business school that started in 1871. It has campuses in cities like Caen, Dublin, Le Havre, Oxford, Paris, and Dubai. It's one of the oldest business schools in France and around the world.
This school has a special "triple accreditation" from three important groups: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. This means it meets very high standards. In 2015, the Financial Times newspaper ranked its Master's in Management program among the best in the world.
In 2013, EM Normandie started a new plan called “Values & Performance.” This plan aimed to make the school even better. It helped the school use its experience from having many campuses. It also focused on active learning and working with businesses in the Normandy area.

What is a Grande École?
EM Normandie Business School is a grande école. In France, these are special schools for higher education. They are separate from, but connected to, the main public university system.
Grandes écoles are like the Ivy League schools in the United States. They are known for being very good and hard to get into. Students must pass a very tough exam to be accepted. Many graduates from these schools get important jobs in government and big companies in France.
Even though they cost more than public universities, Grandes Écoles usually have smaller classes. Many of their programs are taught in English. They often offer chances for students to work or study abroad. They also have strong connections with businesses and government.
Out of about 250 business schools in France, only 39 are members of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE). Many of the best business schools in Europe are CGE members.
Degrees from EM Normandie are approved by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. They are also awarded by the Ministry of National Education (France). Higher education business degrees in France have three levels:
- The Licence/Bachelor's degree.
- The Master's degree.
- The Doctorate degree.
A Bachelor's degree usually takes three years of study after high school. A Master's degree takes two more years after that. The special PGE (Program Grand École) leads to a Master's in Management (M.M.) degree.
Besides the French Ministry of Education, EM Normandie is also approved by two top international groups: The European Foundation for Management Development (EQUIS) and The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). In 2022, the Financial Times ranked its Masters in Management program 72nd in the world.
