The École de Management de Normandie, also known as EM Normandie Business School, is a well-known business school. It was started in 1871. This makes it one of the oldest business schools in France and around the world.
EM Normandie has campuses in several cities. These include Caen, Dublin, Le Havre, Oxford, Paris, and Dubai. The school is a private, non-profit organization. It is highly respected and has a special "triple accreditation." This means it meets high standards set by three important groups: EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA. In 2015, the Financial Times newspaper ranked its Master's in Management program among the best in the world.
In 2013, EM Normandie started a new plan called "Values & Performance." This plan helped the school grow and become even more famous. It also helped them work closely with businesses in the Normandy region of France.

What is a Grande École?
EM Normandie Business School is a grande école. This is a special type of higher education school in France. These schools are separate from the main public university system. They are known for being very selective. Getting in often requires passing a tough exam.
Grandes écoles are similar to famous universities in other countries. For example, they are like the Ivy League schools in the United States. Students who graduate from these schools often get important jobs. They work in government, management, and big companies in France.
Even though grandes écoles can be more expensive, they often have smaller classes. Many of their programs are taught in English. They also offer chances for students to study abroad. They have strong connections with governments and businesses. Out of about 250 business schools in France, only 39 are members of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE). Many of Europe's top business schools are CGE members.
Degrees from EM Normandie are approved by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles. They are also awarded by the Ministry of National Education (France). Higher education business degrees in France have three levels:
- The Licence or Bachelor's degree.
- The Master's degree.
- The Doctorate degree.
A Bachelor's degree usually takes three years. A Master's degree takes two more years after that. EM Normandie is also accredited by two important international groups: The European Foundation for Management Development (EQUIS) and The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). In 2022, the Financial Times ranked its Master's in Management program 72nd in the world.
