Adalberto Javier Ramones Martínez (born December 3, 1961) is a famous Mexican television presenter and comedian. He is well-known for his funny comments about life in Mexico and around the world. Adal was the host of a very popular Mexican TV show called Otro Rollo. This show was made by Televisa and was shown in 53 other countries, including the United States. In the U.S., you could watch it on Univision.

About Adal Ramones
Adal Ramones was born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. When he was younger, he had some health challenges with his heart. But after a few operations, he got better and recovered. He studied at Universidad Regiomontana and earned a degree in communication.
Early Life and Family
In 1998, Adal Ramones became romantically involved with Gaby Valencia. They later got married. Their first child, a daughter named Paola Ramones, was born in 2001.
Challenges and Recovery
In 1998, a month before his wedding, Adal went through a very difficult time. He was held captive for seven days. During this time, he lost a lot of weight. He later wrote about this experience in his autobiography.
Adal also had a few accidents while working on his show. In 2002, he accidentally caught fire during a challenge on Otro Rollo. In 2003, he suffered some burns while filming his show and had to go to the hospital. He even had to wear glasses for a while after that.

Adal Ramones is most famous for hosting Otro Rollo. This show was known for its interviews with big stars and its fun challenges.
Hosting Otro Rollo
On July 30, 2003, American pop star Britney Spears was a guest on his show. Later that year, in September, Adal hosted a contest called La pesera del amor (The Love Bus). In this contest, a man chose a future wife from several women. Adal promised that the show would pay for their wedding and broadcast it live. La pesera del amor became a regular part of the show, and more people joined to find love.
In November 2003, Sylvester Stallone was another big American star to appear on Otro Rollo. Many other international celebrities also visited the show over the years. These included Ricky Martin, t.A.T.u., Will Smith (who visited three times!), Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kevin James, Diego Maradona, Christina Aguilera, David Copperfield, Drew Barrymore, Cameron Díaz, Lucy Liu, Chris Rock, Chayanne, John Leguizamo, N*SYNC, The Backstreet Boys, Gloria Gaynor, Shakira, and The Rock.
The last episode of Otro Rollo con: Adal Ramones was shown on May 8, 2007.
Other Hosting Roles
After Otro Rollo, Adal continued to host many other popular TV shows. In 2005, he hosted the reality show Bailando por un sueño (Dancing for a Dream). In 2006, he hosted Cantando por un sueño (Singing for a Dream). These shows were very popular and involved celebrities and regular people competing to win money for a good cause.
More recently, Adal Ramones started co-hosting the TV series La vida es mejor cantando (Life is Better Singing). Since 2018, he has also been the host of La Academia, a singing competition show.
