Aimee Lou Wood (born in 1995) is an English actress. She is well-known for her role as Aimee Gibbs in the Netflix TV series Sex Education. For this role, she won a British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance.
Aimee Lou Wood has also acted in several films. These include The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021) and Living (2022). She has also performed in many plays, such as Uncle Vanya and Cabaret.

Early Life and Education
Aimee Lou Wood was born in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England. She grew up in a town called Bramhall.
She attended Cheadle Hulme School. After that, she studied acting at the Oxford School of Drama. In 2017, she graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) with a degree in Acting. RADA is a very famous drama school.
Aimee Lou Wood's Acting Career
Aimee Lou Wood started her acting career on stage. While she was at RADA, she acted in many plays. These included Scuttlers and Vinegar Tom.
Early Stage Roles
In 2016, she made her professional debut in the play Mary Stuart. This play was shown at the Almeida Theatre in London. After that, she toured the UK in the play People, Places and Things. She played the character Laura in this production.
Breaking Through with Sex Education
In 2019, Aimee Lou Wood made her first appearance on screen. She starred as Aimee Gibbs in the Netflix comedy-drama series Sex Education. She acted alongside other young stars like Asa Butterfield and Emma Mackey.
The series became very popular. Aimee Lou Wood's acting received a lot of praise. In 2021, she won a British Academy Television Award for Best Female Comedy Performance for her role. This was her first major award. She was nominated for the same award again in 2022.
Continuing Stage and Film Work
